Mar. 30th: Magic vs Heat

Dwyane Wade has had some memorable performances against the Orlando Magic in his career. The only problem is it hasn't led to many wins for the Miami Heat.

The Heat hope to avoid a 12th loss in 13 meetings with the Magic as they look for Wade to have another high-scoring effort Monday night in Miami.

Wade leads the league in scoring (29.8) and has helped the Heat (39-34) win 24 more games than a year ago to emerge as one of the top contenders for league MVP.

The Heat are in a tight race with Philadelphia for fifth place in the Eastern Conference -- a critical spot because it would ensure not seeing Cleveland, Orlando or Boston until at least the second round of the playoffs.

The Magic have won 11 of the last 12 meetings and the outcomes have rarely been close. The Heat beat Orlando 103-97 on Jan. 24 but the Magic have won the other five meetings since the start of last season by an average of 14.3 points.

Orlando is coming off Friday's 110-94 win over the Bucks, its fifth straight victory and 12th in 14 games to remain percentage points ahead of Boston for the second seed in the East.

NCAA - Mar. 29th: North Carolina vs Oklahoma, HD

Game coming on Tuesday morning (if upload doesn't stop during the night...)

One big man was last year’s national player of the year. The other appears poised to take his place.

Now, Tyler Hansbrough and Blake Griffin will go head-to-head with a lot more at stake than any individual honor.

Hansbrough has led top-seeded North Carolina to within a victory of a second straight Final Four. But to get there the Tar Heels will have to go through Griffin and Oklahoma on Sunday in a clash of low post stars.

“You have everything that’s right about college basketball with these two kids,” Oklahoma coach Jeff Capel said. “Tyler staying in school for four years and breaking every record at North Carolina and in the ACC. And then Blake, you know, turning down the money last year and coming back. Both of them have been great ambassadors for college basketball.”

Hansbrough was The Associated Press player of the year in 2008, and when he and three key teammates decided to stay in college another year, the Tar Heels became immediate favorites to win this season’s national title. Along the way, some other contenders joined them—including Griffin and his Sooners, seeded No. 2 in the South Regional.

Mar. 29th: Bulls vs Raptors

It's been a little over two years since the Chicago Bulls won five straight games. That happened to come during their last playoff season.

The surging Bulls hope to equal that winning streak and further solidify their playoff position Sunday when they visit the Toronto Raptors, who are looking for a season-high fourth straight win.

Chicago (36-38) beat Indiana 112-106 at home Saturday for its seventh victory in eight games.

The Bulls are tied with Detroit for seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls are trying for their first five-game winning streak since Dec. 11-19, 2006. Chicago made its most recent playoff appearance that season, losing to the Pistons in the second round.

NCAA - Mar. 28th: Villanova vs Pittsburgh, HDTV

Worth checking Elite 8 game in HD.

Pittsburgh and Villanova endured a bruising Big East schedule to qualify for the NCAA tournament. They arrived that much better prepared to advance to the Final Four.

But first, one of them has to get past the other.

The cross-state rivals will meet in the East regional final at the TD Banknorth Garden on Saturday in a game that puts the Big East in the national spotlight. Though it sometimes gets competition for bragging rights from the likes of the Atlantic Coast Conference, there is no questioning the toughness of a league that once experimented with allowing a sixth foul so its bruisers could stay in the game.

Mar. 29th: Mavs vs Cavs

A victory over the Dallas Mavericks in November was the start of the Cleveland Cavaliers' first winning streak of the season. That turned out to be just one of many impressive runs.

The Cavaliers look to set a franchise record for consecutive wins, continue their dominance at home and sweep their season series with the Mavericks for the first time in nine years Sunday.

Cleveland (59-13) began the season 1-2 before beating Dallas 100-81 on Nov. 3, the first of eight straight wins. Now, the Cavaliers have won 11 straight for the second time this season and a victory Sunday would give them their longest winning streak in team history.

"We just approach each game like it's our last," Cleveland star LeBron James said. "It starts with me going out there with a mind-set that we aren't going to lose this ballgame."
